Terms & Conditions
The terms and conditions of our competition are as follows:- All subscribers to the shetland.org mailing list at 11.59pm GMT on 15th March 2009 will be included in the draw. .
- The prize is two return flights on the scheduled services of Flybe (operated by Loganair) from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness or Kirkwall to Sumburgh for 2 adults (over 18) with 2 nights accommodation. Accommodation is on a bed and breakfast basis, for two nights at Busta House Hotel on a Friday and Saturday or a Saturday and Sunday, subject to availability.
- The prize does not include travel to Aberdeen, Glasgow Inverness or Kirkwall, travel insurance, visas and tips. Winners must take out adequate insurance.
- The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative
- The prize winner and their companion must be over 18 as of 1 April 2009
- Travel must take place in April, May, August or September 2009
- The prize winner can choose to pay for additional hotel nights.
- The competition winner is strongly advised to take out appropriate travel insurance as the promoters of the competition, Shetland Islands Council, will not be responsible for any failure of any part of the arrangements nor for any loss or injury whatsoever incurred by any party to the arrangements.
- Travellers' names cannot be changed once provided to Shetland Islands Council.
- Shetland Islands Council reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value in the event that circumstances beyond our control make this unavoidable.
- People who currently reside in Shetland are ineligible to enter.
- By entering the competition, all entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
- The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into concerning the competition.
- The promoter is Shetland Islands Council, Economic Development Unit, 6 North Ness Business Park, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0LZ.
